The founder’s grandson, Rob Samuels, who began working at the family distillery at age nine, is now the third generation to run Star Hill Farm. Additional offerings from Maker’s Mark include a Cask-Strength Bourbon and Maker’s 46, finished with seared oak. Maker’s Mark is made slowly in small batches, in our National Historic Landmark distillery in Loretto, Kentucky. Maker's Mark is a fine example of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey at its best. Just like all bourbons, it is distilled primarily from corn, with some malted barley thrown into the mix.
